I am a software, web, mobile and technology developer who has tenaciously over a decade and half transitioned with the dynamics of Information Communication Technology.
I am passionate and committed to research and experimentation of new and emerging technologies and exploring ways they could best be applied to providing solutions to the complex problems of today’s world. This inner drive and openness of mind has afforded me opportunities of collaborating with researchers and experts from different disciplines in developing and implementing technological solutions.
I am seizing and seeking more opportunities to contribute positively in developing scientific and technological solutions of highly utilitarian value to promoting growth and development in Africa by leveraging on the strength and potentials of science gateways and e-infrastructures.
My areas of research interest are artificial intelligence, big data, web & mobile development, hacking, computer security, graphics & animation.
Use Case Description
AgriSERVICOMM
Agricultural extension finds itself at a time of crisis. Many of today’s agricultural extension services are suffering under bureaucratic centralised management structures. Squeezed by decentralization policies, diminishing public funds and the privatization of public services, they are urgently in need of change. The design is to come up with communication model using mobile technology to reinvent agricultural extension to improve the kind of information that is being disseminated to farmers.
AgriSERVICOMM implements a novel communication model/platform using science gateways and e-infrastructures to achieve enhanced agricultural extension practice and improved productivity for the rural farmers.
e-Infrastructure Services Exploited
For storing and retrieving digital assets, AgriSERVICOMM adopted the Sci-GaIA Open Access Repository (OAR), in which specific sub-categories have been created for the use case.
The AgriSERVICOMM Science Gateway is a Service Provider of the GrIDP “catch-all” Identity Federation.
