Projects

This forum is developed and funded by the <a href="http://www.sci-gaia.eu">Sci-GaIA</a> project, funded from 2015 to 2016 in the Horizon2020 framework. However, it serves communities all across Africa and Arabia, and will live after the end of the project. There are also other projects which are important to this community, especially TANDEM and MAGIC.

This category is for discussing the development of Africa Policy Management Authority (AfricaPMA). Global trust in e-Infrastructures is mediated by the <a href="https://www.igtf.net/">Interoperable Global Trust Federation</a>, which consists of three members, providing certificate registries. <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_access">Open access (OA) means unrestricted online access to peer-reviewed scholarly research</a> and is one of the lynchpins of the Sci-GaIA project, as well as many others. Openness is a <em>methodology</em> and a <em>culture</em>, which implies certain tools and techniques - this category is for discussing aspects of these.

African Weather-stations

This category is created as a forum for projects in which environment monitoring stations, such as weather stations, are deployed or planned to be deployed in Africa.<br>One such project, the NORAD funded <a href="http://wimea-ict.gfi.uib.no">WIMEA-ICT</a> project, has a category of its own and other such projects are welcome to request its own category. WIMEA-ICT is focusing on Uganda, Tanzania and South Sudan.
