Along the lines of everything is code.
We should try migrate from someone have to modify the jenkins interface to add versions to pulling it directly from the git repo, or thinking the other way round git repo having more control of the build process.

For now this is just to gather some links, will come back to it in due course.
Idea being, from github we can specify the versions, automate the readme file with the currenty versions, which is currently manual and probably generally wrong. Hopefully elliminate those nasty configuration matrix entries in jenkins as well.
